Shri S.K. Shah and Shrikrishna O.M. Arts College, Modasa, is managed by an enthusiastic management team. The M.L. Gandhi Higher Education Society, a visionary organization, imparts higher education in the rural areas of the Aravalli district. This dedication to serving rural communities has significantly impacted the region’s growth and the opportunities available to its residents.
The college was started in 1960 under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Dhirubhai Thakar, a veteran and versatile personality, critic of Gujarati literature, and chief editor of the Gujarati Vishwakosh.
The college was included under sections 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC Act in 1975 and has been receiving UGC grants since then. The college offers seven subjects in the B.A. program: Gujarati, Hindi, Sanskrit, English, Psychology, Economics, and Home Science. Additionally, the M.A. program includes four subjects: English, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Gujarati.

The college also features the Ramanlal Soni Literature and Research Centre, as well as its own museum and art gallery.
The college was accredited by NAAC in 2007. It is well-equipped with sufficient infrastructure, including sports facilities, a gymkhana, a library, a language laboratory, a Clothing and Textile Laboratory, a Food and Nutrition laboratory, and more, all aimed at the multi-dimensional development of students.
Shri S.K.Shah and Shri Krishna O.M. Arts College Modasa was established in 1960 with a visionary principal Dhirubhail Thaker. He was an editor of Gujarati encyclopaedia. It is run by Shri M.L.Gandhi Trust. Students are involved in various activities to spread their academic brilliance and awaken the latent energies within. The college has the best museum in North Gujarat, offering a glimpse into the history of Aravalli. Students from nearby schools and dignitaries from the archaeology department visit the museum and enjoy it.
