2023 – 2024 BEST PRACTICES

Institutional Values and Social Responsibilities

Shri S.K. Shah and Shri Krishna O.M. Arts College have taken proactive measures to promote gender equity and foster a gender-sensitive environment during the year. Key initiatives include:

Gender Sensitization Programs:

The Women Cell and Gender Equity Cell organize annual awareness programs for both staff and students. These programs aim to educate the college community about gender equity and sensitization.

Counseling and Support:

Regular counseling sessions are conducted by proctor departments to assist students in developing good personality traits and life skills. Special attention is given to providing guidance and support to married female students pursuing higher education.

Infrastructure and Facilities:

Separate common rooms are designated for boys and girls, promoting healthy recreation. The institution has established a crèche on campus to cater to the needs of employees with children.

Recognition and Motivation:

Married female students are recognized and motivated through the annual distribution of cash prizes on Achiever’s Day, encouraging them to pursue higher education.

Hygiene and Security Measures:

Napkin vending and disposal machines are installed in girls’ washrooms on every floor to ensure hygiene and convenience.

Best Practice – II Expert Lectures:

Lectures on various subjects enhance the teaching-learning process. Extra efforts are taken for students who are weak in studies through remedial classes. We conduct English-speaking classes for these students to improve their soft skills and boost their confidence.
