INDIRA GANDHI NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSISTY STUDY CENTRE

Indira Gandhi Open University study centre was established in September 1990. This study centre works under the patronage of Arts College Modasa. The study centre has a separate building. Shri Mohanlal Jamanadas Mehta has donated Rs.200000 for the development of the study centre so that this study centre is titled as Shri Mohanlal Jamanadas Mehta study Centre. It is a matter of our pride for us that we have a separate building for the separate study centre.

It was a new experiment to impart education with Open University. This university is now very well developed and completed 33 years. This university runs the courses like: CFN, Certificate of Information Technology, Other Diploma Courses, B.Ed., M.Ed., MSW etc. More and more students are enrolled in this study centre and make their career. It is benefitted to those students who are doing job or business. They can pursue the degree from this distance learning centre.

Many students are getting employment oriented education in this study centre. Even the students from small villages are tried to co-up with a new century. This study centre has own computer lab as well as Internet facilities.

The students can also obtain the degree of M.A. from IGNOU The courses like Library Science, MSW, MCA have been started in this study centre. The exam is conducted two times in a year. We guide the students of Aravalli district about how to obtain the degree from distance learning.
