Shri S.K.Shah and Shri Krishna O.M. Arts College Modasa was established in 1960 with a visionary principal Dhirubhail Thaker. He was an editor of Gujarati encyclopaedia. It is run by Shri M.L.Gandhi Trust. Students are involved in various activities to spread their academic brilliance and awaken the latent energies within. The college has the best museum in North Gujarat, offering a glimpse into the history of Aravalli. Students from nearby schools and dignitaries from the archaeology department visit the museum and enjoy it. The Ramanlal Soni Literary Research Centre has made a significant contribution to Gujarati children’s literature and also provides fellowships for research work. Teachers participate in online lectures promoted by KCG, and the college has a well-equipped computerized library. Programmes related to personality development, employment, emotional intelligence, women awareness, self-defence, women’s empowerment, various programs under Saptdhara, and experts’ lectures on various subjects are organized.
Shri.Ambalal Ranchoddas Sura Museum is run by the M.L.Gandhi trust of the college. It was established in 1965 with the donation of a former professor Dr.Vinodbhai Purani. Shri.Ambalal Ranchoddas Sura Museum Modasa occupies an important place in the entire North Gujarat University. History has always been a subject of human curiosity. Cultural heritage holds an important place in relation to fine arts, scientific perspectives and objects. The museum revives historical moments with preserved historical stone arts. The museum was established in the memory of Vrajlal Sura. The former principal Dr. Dhirubhai Thaker preserved the heritage of the ancient history of Pichhani, Modasa, the princely state of this region
Indira Gandhi Open University study centre was established in September 1990. This study centre works under the patronage of Arts College Modasa. The study centre has a separate building. Shri Mohanlal Jamanadas Mehta has donated Rs.200000 for the development of the study centre so that this study centre is titled as Shri Mohanlal Jamanadas Mehta study Centre. It is a matter of our pride for us that we have a separate building for the separate study centre.
Many students are getting employment oriented education in this study centre. Even the students from small villages are tried to co-up with a new century. Besides this, students are enrolled in Disaster management. This study centre has own computer lab as well as Internet facilities. The institute also runs Shri Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University centre.
