Shri S.K.Shah and Shrikrishna O.M. Arts College’s NCC Unit is dedicated to fostering discipline, leadership, and civic responsibility among its cadets. The NCC unit consists of male cadets however, it also begun to select female cadets from the current academic year i.e. 2023-24. The unit consists 55 cadets both male and female cadets. It assosiate with 34 GUJ Battalion Unit, Himmatnagar.
Activities and Training:
- CATC Camp (Combined Annual Training Camp):
- A comprehensive training camp that includes various military drills, physical training, weapon training, map reading, and adventure activities. This camp helps cadets develop discipline, teamwork, and survival skills.
- National Day Parade:
- 15th August (Independence Day): Cadets participate in the Independence Day parade, showcasing their training and patriotic spirit.
- 26th January (Republic Day): Cadets also take part in the Republic Day parade, demonstrating their commitment and discipline.
- Blood Donation Camps:
- Organized to encourage cadets to donate blood, these camps promote the importance of community service and the spirit of giving back to society.
- Tree Plantation Drives:
- This drives is conducted to foster environmental awareness and responsibility among cadets. They actively participate in planting trees and promoting sustainable practices.
- Thalassemia Awareness and Testing:
- The unit conducts awareness programs and testing camps for Thalassemia, a genetic blood disorder. This initiative educates cadets and the community about the disease and the importance of testing and prevention.
- ‘B’ Certificate and ‘C’ Certificate Training:
- The NCC offers structured training programs leading to the ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificates, which are prestigious qualifications. These certificates are awarded after rigorous training and examinations and are highly valued for careers in the armed forces and other sectors.
